"Blue Danube Gifts" is unique business in the heart of New York City, Manhattan. We are the only Hungarian bookstore in the United States.
We, the owners, live and work in New York for several years.
We have been enthusiastic fans of literature. After so many years of being fans only, we finally have the opportunity to manage our own business dealing with books.
"Blue Danube Gifts" has a long history, going back to the middle of the last century.
It was originally owned by the famous Puski family, serving the Hungarian community for decades. The business was named as "Püski-Corvin" at that time.
Lajos Huszti continued the mission under the new name, "Blue Danube".
Our goal is take this noble tradition further.
Our stock consists of a wide variety of books from Hungarian and foreign authors, including but not limited to the following categories:
Novels, Poetry, Romance, History, Mystery & Thrillers, Biographies & Memoirs, Religion & Spirituality, Children's Books, Cooking, Dictionaries & Learning Tools, etc..
Hungarian audio and video products are also available as well as over 140 different newspapers and magazines for individual purchases and on regular subscription basis.
We always honor special requests. We take orders for currently unavailable items, and obtain them within a reasonable period of time.
